Emily & Johnny’s Castle Durrow Wedding
I do love a Castle Durrow wedding. After all, this is the venue we chose to get married ourselves so it’s always a pleasure to go back as a photographer. Emily and her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite on the morning of the wedding. This meant they only had a short walk to the ceremony room that was decorated by the extremely talented Jill Wild Flower. Emily and Johnny are such a fun couple and it was a pleasure to spend the day in their company.

Castle Durrow is a stunning family run wedding venue located in the beautiful Laois countryside just ninety minutes from Dublin and Cork. The Castle itself was built in the early 18th century and if it’s style and elegance you want then look no further then Castle Durrow. The grounds and gardens of the Castle will provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding celebrations. Speaking from experience the service and attention to detail here are second to none. It’s the type of wedding venue your guests will love and one that you both can look forward to visiting for many anniversaries to come.
Ceremonies at Castle Durrow :
When it comes to your ceremony, Castle Durrow has some great options. The Castle is fully licensed and approved to host civil ceremonies and civil partnership weddings. You have the choice of getting married outside in the spectacular castle gardens during the spring and summer months. For an indoor ceremony the ballroom is the perfect setting to say “I do”.
Drinks reception at Castle Durrow :
My favourite part of a wedding is the drinks reception. After your wedding ceremony you and your guests will be treated to Prosecco, craft beers and some amazing food. All this takes place in the elegant south-facing drawing rooms which lead out onto the beautiful terrace and formal gardens. When the weather is good your guests can enjoy drinks and food on the terrace in the sunshine. The atmosphere is fantastic and it’s a great way to get the party started.
