Liz and Brian traveled back from the USA to be married at Durhamstown Castle. Brian is a local Meath man and Liz hails from Montana. Located in the picturesque landscapes of County Meath, Durhamstown Castle is the hidden gem of wedding venues. This historic castle, with its origins dating back to the 15th century, exudes an air of elegance and rustic charm that sets the stage for an unforgettable wedding. The old castle itself is surrounded by beautiful meadows and mature trees. This provides a perfect backdrop for amazing photos and a venue your guests will love.
Ceremonies at Durhamstown Castle :
Liz and Brian said their I do’s in the stunning on site rustic barn that’s was beautifully decorated by the very talented Lorna from A Room in Bloom The light in this ceremony space is perfect and your ceremony photos will look beautiful. After their ceremony Liz and Brian had a meet and greet with friends and family. Everyone then moved to the front of the house to enjoy drinks, canapés and garden games on the front lawn with their guests.
Party the night away :
When the drinks reception was over all the guests made their way to The Great Barn for dinner. With its exposed wooden beams, brick arches and lovely joinery it definItely earns the title of GREAT. The bar, the dance floor, kitchens and restrooms are all under the one roof – so keeping your party together.
