If you are looking for a beautiful fairytale wedding in a medieval castle full of character and history, you should look no further than Kinnitty Castle in Co. Offaly.
The marriage of Jamie and Karl was a coming together of Ireland (Karl) and Canada (Jamie) and it was an absolute belter of a day.
Jamie and Karl are an adventurous couple and it was in New Zealand that Karl proposed. You can tell by being around Jamie and Karl that they are real soul mates. I’m so happy that they got the wedding they both deserved.
As a wedding photographer, I do love an outdoor ceremony and Jamie and Karl chose to have theirs in the courtyard of the castle itself. The weather really played its part and the ceremony was relaxed but full of emotion and happiness. The brilliant Graham Barrett was celebrant doing what he does best.
After the ceremony Jamie and Karl took a stroll in the stunning woodland that surrounds Kinnitty and we took some photos amongst the forest bluebells.
One of the stand out moments for me was Jamie’s epic bouquet toss, which although was competitive at first, ended with one of the most impressive catches ever displayed by a bridesmaid!
The night was kicked off with some dance floor mayhem that went late on into the night thanks to the very talented wedding band All Talk.
Jamie and Karl, have an amazing life together and thank you for letting me hang out with you for the day.
