Rathsallagh House Wedding

Anna & Bren’s Rathsallagh House Wedding

I absolutely loved being a part of Anna & Bren’s wedding at Rathsallagh House. They met in Melbourne, Australia five years ago when they attended a concert as part of a group and went on their first date a week later, where they bonded over their shared love of Italian food. The couple decided to get married in Ireland and selected Rathsallagh House in Co. Wicklow as their venue. As Bren is from Australia the wedding provided the perfect opportunity for both families from different sides of the globe to finally meet up.

A Stylish Rathsallagh House Wedding

I have to confess that I do love a wedding at Rathsallagh House. Located among the beautiful landscapes of County Wicklow, Rathsallagh is a stunning venue for unforgettable weddings. Rathsallagh House creates a perfect atmosphere for couples to exchange their vows and celebrate their wedding day with friends and family. Anna & Bren decided to have a first look before their ceremony. The stunning walled garden provided the perfect backdrop for this emotional first look and also gave some privacy from arriving guests. The gardens here are amazing for photos and you also have the beautiful lawn and driveway at the front of the house. Anna said “If you are able to, do a first look with your husband to be. It takes away so many nerves before the ceremony and it let us have time together just the two of us which we loved”.

Wedding Ceremonies at Rathsallagh House

Rathsallagh House offers a wide variety of wedding ceremony options to say your I do’s. During the summer months I would highly recommend The Walled Garden ( 200 + guests ) as an outdoor option. Other equally amazing indoor options include The Grannary ( 200 + guests ) and The orangery ( 100 + guests ).

The best night ever

After an outdoor drinks reception in the sun and some funny and emotional speeches it was time to get the dancing shoes on. Anna said “I don’t think I’ve ever been on a more fun dance floor! This was followed by a sing-song in the resident bar lead by my eighty year old grandad, who can remember 8 verses of Waltzing Matilda by heart”.
