Linda & Keelan’s Waterford Castle Wedding
After having to reschedule their wedding a couple of times due to Covid, Linda & Keelan finally had the Waterford Castle wedding they have always dreamed of. As a wedding photographer Waterford Castle has to be one of my favourite wedding venues in the country. The Castle itself is uniquely situated on a private 310-acre Island, enjoying a picturesque location on the River Suir. Access to the Island is by our private car ferry, operating throughout the day. A major plus to having your wedding at Waterford Castle is that you and your guests have exclusive access to the Castle for the entire wedding day.
Bride Prep at Waterford Castle
The bridal suite at Waterford Castle is spectacular. The light in this room is amazing for photos during the bride prep. When the bride is ready it’s just a short walk down the staircase to the ceremony.
Waterford Castle Wedding Ceremony
There are a few possibilities to consider for your wedding ceremony. There are many beautiful churches to choose from in the local area. You could also hold a private civil wedding ceremony in the Lobby area of the castle, exchanging vows in the grand entrance hall of the 16th century castle setting, in front of the stunning open fireplace in the company of close family & friends. This is the option that Linda & Keelan chose and it was definitely worked a treat.
Dancing in the marquee
After the speeches Linda & Keelan made their way to the marquee in front of the castle were along with the bridal party they performed a choreographed Charleston dance routine that strictly come dancing would have been proud of. Thank you Linda & Keelan for inviting me into their lives on such a special day.
